About Tim

Tim is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT #47229). Tim holds a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and has been providing counseling services to individuals, couples and families as a licensed therapist in private practice since 2009. Tim has provided clinical supervision for psychotherapist interns and associates since 2011.

Tim is currently Associate Dean of Operations for the JFK School of Psychology and Social Sciences (JFK SOPSS) at National University, overseeing clinical and professional training for all JFK SOPSS programs as well as Community Service programs and academic operations. Previous to this role, Tim was Executive Director of the Office of Professional Training at John F. Kennedy University (JFKU) and Director of Clinical Operations for JFKU’s three Community Counseling Centers. Prior to joining JFKU, Tim was the Program Director for a residential adolescent treatment center and a non-public school mental health program. Tim is pursuing his doctoral PhD in Psychology, with a specialization in gender expression and sexual fluidity. Tim’s specialties include: Individual, Couples and Family Therapy; Anxiety and Depression; Adolescent Behavior; Parenting; LGBTQIA+ issues; Multiculturalism & Intersectionality; Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA); Clinical Supervision & Training for MFTI, ACSW and PCCI Interns. Tim also specializes in Polyvagal Theory, and is a certified practitioner of the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) for adults and children with highly sensitive neuroception. 

Prior to becoming a therapist, Tim acquired over 15 years of corporate leadership and management consulting experience, including 10 years spent in various management roles with FedEx and most recently as Vice President of International Customer Operations for Yahoo Inc. Tim’s extensive leadership and operations management background combined with broad experience as a psychotherapist, clinical supervisor and in mental health program management uniquely qualify him to lead programs which support diverse clients in varied clinical settings.
